Exhaust Brake Valve, is an auxiliary brake, is a necessary supplement to the automobile service brake. The exhaust brake valve uses the engine as an air compressor to produce braking torque and thus has a slowing effect on the car. Generally installed in the exhaust pipe, when it is necessary to slow down the valve to block the exhaust channel to achieve the braking effect. It mainly uses cars driving on mines or mountain roads or cars often driving on city streets with complicated traffic conditions.

Its role is to reduce the speed of the vehicle or maintain stability under the condition that the service brake is not used or used less, but the vehicle cannot be stopped in an emergency.

Maintenance

(1) Check the circuit

Focus on checking the solenoid valve, remove the connection line on the solenoid valve, and test the fire with a light, if the light indicates that there is electricity, if you can hear the "horn" sound, it indicates that the solenoid valve works normally, otherwise it is considered to be faulty.

(2) Check the switches

When checking the control switch, check whether the power supply can be switched on and off in time. Three gear switch has three gears, the middle position, the engine three, four cylinders play the braking role; In the lower position, one, two, five, six cylinders play a braking role; In the upper position, all six cylinders act as brakes.

(3) Check the oil circuit

Turn on the circuit, loosen a joint on the oil line, and observe whether there is oil flow and pressure. The inspection can be carried out in three steps:

① Check whether the check ball valve is faulty.

② Check whether the main piston (injector rocker arm) works normally.

③ Check whether the auxiliary piston (exhaust valve) has oil flow through.

④ Check the working condition of the main piston and auxiliary piston mainly check whether the main piston or auxiliary piston is rusty or stuck.
